Chippewas News

The Chicago Chippewas minor-league football team has joined the Alliance Football League for the 2009 season. The league is comprised of 30 teams stretching from Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Texas and Arkansas. The team is based in Chicago, IL. and will be playing in the Lake Michigan Division of the American Alliance Conference. www.alliancefootballleague.org

Chippewas Tryout Dates: The Chippewas will be starting indoor workouts Febuary 27th., from 7P. to 9P. and March 1st.,from 1P. to 3P. with practices every Friday and Sunday after that at the( Ho Chunk Sports Expo located at 10 Southland Drive, in Lynwood,Il.,60411). You can google the directions if need be.

The Chippewas are still looking for the following positions:

  *Defensive Assistant

  *Offensive Assistant

  *Special teams Coach

  *Statatician

  *Chain Crew

 

2009 Tryout Information

Chippewas announce 2009 open tryouts!!! The Chicago Chippewas will be holding indoor workouts every Friday and Sunday during the months of Febuary and March at the( Ho Chunk Sports Expo located at 10 Southland Dr. Lynwood,Il. 60411. Friday’s practice will be from 7P. to 9P. and Sunday’s practice’s are from 1P. to 3P. Directions can be retrieved through google. Cost to participate will be $20 (non refundable) and you must have a valid photo I.D.. Players and coaches need to fill out an application before you come to the workouts and someone will contact you A.S.A.P.. Also if you are a Defensive player you will need to wear a Solid Black T-Shirt and Solid Black Shorts and Offensive players must wear Solid White T-Shirts and Solid Black Shorts. All position players are invited to attend, we will be testing on:

40 yard dash

Short Shuttle

Long Shuttle

3 Cone Drill

High Jump

Angle Drive

Individual Drills (Time Permitted)
